For the third year in a row, our summer filmmaking camps were an immense success! Filmmakers aged 10-14 explored a wide range of topics from protecting wildlife and ecosystems, to how technology affects the well-being of our communities. We discovered how to use technology in healthy ways while also having fun!

In collaboration with NH Audubon and the SEE Science Center, our Conservation Quest and Flip the Script camps inspired youth to explore different ways to convey their creative ideas with storytelling in video! Through the lenses of documentary and science fiction filmmaking, our campers learned how to educate others and prevent spreading misinformation online. We included research from reliable sources such as field guides, museum exhibits, and expert interviews!

Throughout the filmmaking process, campers were also able to build important communication skills needed to thrive in our dynamic world. They strengthened their advocacy capabilities by learning to understand their audience. Our filmmakers discovered that they can use media creatively and responsibly to change hearts and minds! Campers also grew their leadership and problem-solving abilities through collaboration with their film crews and educators.
During each week-long session, our campers immersed themselves in the film production process from beginning to end. They worked with their peers to write, film, and edit their creative stories! Every group finished our summer program with their own unique film, showcasing each camper’s diverse artistic talents and perspectives on their topic!
Without further ado, please enjoy this year’s films! We hope to see all of our campers again next summer!
