A three-hour introductory workshop for youth
Media Power & You is a powerful, interactive three-hour workshop in which young people decode the media message in their lives and investigate the aims and purposes of media makers. This workshop can be tailored for a range of age groups, from upper elementary through high school. Media Power and You in ACTION: becoming positive message makers
A one-day in-depth workshop for youth
Media Power & You in ACTION puts young people in the driver’s seat to create media! Participants delve into critical health-focused media literacy skills and then apply their learning to create their own productions (often a Public Service Announcement). All aspects of pre-production, production and post production are included, empowering youth to be both critical media consumers and positive message makers.
